So I just got my first sunburn of the year from being outside too long. My face, arms, chest, and shoulders are all really red. They don't hurt at all, but is there anything I can do to make the redness go away?

Ocean Potion or banana boat products usually work well in dealing with sunburn. Have my own right now. Damn you Irish genes

Get some aloe vera gel from your local pharmacy. Put it in the fridge and it'll feel even more refreshing as you apply it.

Who goes through life this long, and JUST now gets their first sun burn?

Aloe helps a little if it hurts, and keeping it moisturized will keep the peeling down, but the redness stays for a few days. Not a lot you can do about it. Wear sunscreen next time, or go out in the sun more.

Is sunscreen a life hack or is that just too obviously?

TS should suck it up and appreciate that he's not in pain and only has to deal with redness.

Well the redness is the blood rising up to heal the burn so nope, you'll just have to deal with it.

Unless, you know, you want to bleed yourself dry or whatever. I wouldn't recommend that though. It may have some rather nasty side-effects.

Take IB Profin (it reduces swelling and irritation)
Take a Lukewarm shower (just a little bit warmer then room temperature, it promotes circulation and should make the redness go away quicker)
Then either use aloe vera or hydrocortisone cream to add moisture to the skin and remove more redness.

Ta done!
