Normally on fixture release day, I'd now know when I'll be in England within the next year (home derby, 2 consecutive home games etc) but right now, with what's been going on at the club the past few days, I really don't feel like making the effort to go and see them.

Shame, really. Havent missed a home derby in like.. **** knows how long. Over a decade.

Damn you Mike Ashley.

That said, we have Stoke H on Boxing day and Arsenal H on Dec 28th. I'll be in England anyway then, and no doubt temptation will take over anyway >.>

Sunderland's first 8 home games:

v Fulham
v Arsenal
v Liverpool
v Man Utd
v Newcastle
v Man City
v Chelsea
v Tottenham

Holy crap . They need to beat Fulham and try and get draws with Liverpool + yourselves.

Predictions bitches!
PL winner: Chelsea (waayyyyy close between top 3 though),
PL top 5: Chelsea, Man United, Man City, Arsenal, Liverpool.
Relegation spots: Palace, Hull, Norwich.

FA cup: Man United.
League cup: Liverpool.
Championship promotion: Leeds, Bolton, Leicester.

I'd be tempted to say Arsenal might get a cup, but i think that every year .

Some others...

Champions league: Easy money would go on Bayern, but i'm going to say Juve for outsider luck .
Europa league: Dortmund
Manchester United

BBC rumours say that Pardew wants a meeting with Ashley to see if his new duties/place in the club suit him.

He would walk if he wasn't happy in that case. Ashley isn't going to sack him and have to pay him off cause he's being pissy. He probably won't even sack him if we're bottom with 0 points by Christmas.
The plan was to drink until the pain over.
But what's worse, the pain or the hangover?

yeah, guess we will find out after the meeting. Don't think his duties will change at all.

I'll not be in England, as I will be too busy with my new studies.

Plus I don't want to spend my loan on a trip to England.

Yeah I don't think they'll be very different. Only difference is he'll not be answering to Kinnear for transfers instead of Llambias. Ashley is surely smart enough to know that if he starts letting JFK undermine Pardew in other ways Pardew is open to just walk and sue for constructive dismissal like Keegan did.

Makes me wonder if Llambias hadn't told Ashley he was resigning a while back and Ashley needed someone he knew to replace him.

Garn doon marra.

Also Kinnear has pulled us out of the deal to sign Douglas, who was apparently our number one target last night.

We've "identified other targets". I'd like the believe that this is a good thing but I doubt it.

I was about to say.. The post count went up drastically when Megano came here having 200 page arguments about whether a player was black, and other pointless debates.

Only to liven up the obscurity that is Newcastle talk. Just look at the last 4 pages of this thread.

People are talking about it. Evidently they do. But if you like we could discuss whether or not Joe Kinnear is actually a Cockney.

Just looking at fixture list now. Early North London derby, at home pretty decent overall, although...

Tottenham v Arsenal - Sat 15 Mar - 15:00
Chelsea v Arsenal - Sat 22 Mar - 15:00
Arsenal v Man City - Sat 29 Mar - 15:00

Ouch
#155
Chelsea, Liverpool and City in the first 5 games **** me. Guess this is what happens when Fergie isn't running the FA/PL.

Also lol Kinnear can predict the future

We'll most likely be out of all extra competitions by then, whereas the other teams will not. That's an advantage I guess. Plus usually we finish strongly.
