A new song, again written and recorded with my friend. We decided to write an epic "hero metal" song. It tells about hunting the dragon. Again, it's made tongue in cheek - so nothing too serious here, especially the lyrics (written in like 5 minutes ). You can hear that the fast part was clearly inspired by Iron Maiden.

I recorded almost all guitar and bass tracks. We shared the solos.

Oh, and I'm not a great singer but I decided to sing here - the singing is not perfect but we didn't bother recording too many takes. My friend sang one part (pre chorus).

If you haven't checked out the other tracks I have posted here, check them out too if you want. Both of them are written and recorded by my friend and I.

not what i usually listen to, its really funny and intersting, not sure if you were going for that, the drums and guitar all sound good together, the vocals are not very audible in the verse but the chorus is cool, the solos are good too, overall I enjoyed it, Gave you you a follow

Ok, so first the bad: It isn't very original. You made the reference to Iron Maiden, which is very evident, but obviously you listen to Rhandy Rhoads era Ozzy.

The Good: Overall sound is pretty good. I like the drums, and everything is in pretty good sync. Your playing is clean.

My assessment? Sounds like you listen to a lot of 80's metal, and have been playing for 2 or 3 years, less if you practice a lot. Overall, not bad. I like the fact that you focus on the song, as opposed to a ton of gain and fast sloppy playing with bad vibrato lol.

Actually I've been playing for four years but not all guitar tracks are recorded by me. We recorded them together with my friend (though most of them are recorded by me) who's more of a blues and jazz guitarist and has been playing longer than me.

This song isn't stuff that we usually do together. We write lots of different kind of music together. This was made just for fun. So we didn't even try to make it sound too original. It sounded pretty cliche on purpose. That's why we also did the Maiden part.

And yeah, I have listened to Ozzy's first album a lot. I know one of the fills is stolen from Randy, lol. And I did listen to 80s metal a lot some time ago. But now I listen to 70s rock more.

We could have recorded many things better. It's not 100% accurate playing but whatever. We didn't bother recording that many takes. It was recorded with Garageband so the sounds are what they are. These are the best sounds we have found. And the vocals are too quiet, I know.

I like you Finnish people . Seems like lately a lot of the videos and music I come across is from Finland, and most of it is really good. I wasn't too far off on my assessment lol, I almost put 4 years

Thanks for posting this, I remember doing stuff like this with my friends, way back when Good times!

I sense from the vocals that this is not exactly a 100% serious song.

When the guitars were doubled or harmonised it became stronger and pretty rocking. Maybe doubling would work in the early part of the song too.

Sorry about the slight delay in C4C.

First off that hi-hat is mesmorizing. This reminds me of Dios work particularlly the holy diver album. Also i really feel that the guitar is panned too far left. I would suggest double tracking that and throwing the second hard panned right. Maybe a side chain comp. on the right guitar chained with the vocals to help it cut through. You have a super tight sound between the Bass drum and bass guitar which is always a great thing. The second part is very maiden like. But the lead tone sounds a bit lacking on the mids and highs. Also again for the solo parts you have the guitar panned hard.. its a cool solo so you want it to litterally be the center of attention. Overall pretty cool stuff man.
