the slideshow viewers on those pages isn't working for me, but it's always very cool to see colour photographs from that era
makes the war and all the shit surrounding it feel a bit more real, less distant, and that can hit hard

I visited Normandy for the memorial day service last year. It was such a strange feeling to walk along those shores.

These are awesome. I love seeing the color conversions of old black and white photos. I mean these pics looks like they could've been taken today.

I see old pics in b&w, and it just looks like "oh, another old picture... whatever". But the color gives it so much more impact. Like I feel like with color, I can see so much more of what's going on, and am able to imagine myself in that scene.
