What do you guys think about this amp? I'm thinking of getting the head version as I am in need of a head to go with the cab that a friend just gave me. I'll be using it mostly as a clean platform whereas my pedals will build the tone around its base. The reason I ask is cause I got a great deal on it, but I'm not sure if I should take it or not. I saw a couple youtube demos, but I'd like some other feedback to anyone who has experience with it.

How good are the cleans compared to like a Classic 30 or a Fender?

I don't know for sure but probably worse. The classic 30 design is based on a vox AC30 if I recall correctly, and well fenders are fenders. I don't think that any amp has better cleans than a vox or a fender.

They are probably okay but not as good as a classic 30 and probably not even near a fender level.
