For a while, I have being craving a guitar that fits the title "Super-Tele". In other words, a Super-Strat with a Tele body but more often that not, they are discontinued, never available used or not quite what I'm looking for:

Fender Contemporary Telecaster

Fender FMT

Fender Jim Root Telecaster

Jackson JTX

Charvel San Dimas Style 2

Yamaha Pacifica 120s

Yamaha Pacifica 812s

Yamaha Pacifica 1221s

Yamaha Pacifica 1230s

Schecter PT

I think those are all the ones I know of. Sadly, the only one that is currently in production is the Jim Root Telecaster. Are there any others I should be frothing over?

I'm having one made by Rock Beach that will have a bridge HB and a P90 in the neck, featuring a Bigsby. It should come in a little over $1100.

But yeah...there are a LOT of funky "Teles" out there, all in production. Some include:

G&L has the ASAT Deluxe & ASAT Z-3 series:

Spear guitars has their RT series:

Tradition* has the Jerry Reid signature Pro with 3 pickups (one of which is a HB in the neck):

US Masters has the Super T

And there's a luthier in the UK who specializes in custom Teles. That seems to be all Stevens Customs UK does:

Look around, and you'll find dozens more. Some inexpensive, some, pricey as hell. I saw some killer aluminum and steel ones:

James Trussart

There are also makers who do Tele inspried guitars with their own spin on them. One I think is pretty good is the Reverend Buckshot:

* some yahoo redsigned their website, and it is TERRIBLE now. To find the JRP, you'll have to look in the catalog or contact them or some such.

If you have a spare million sitting around, you could get a Jhoseph King Goldcaster: a metal hollowbody Tele with four Lace Alumitone HBs...and a top of 18k gold...

I know that the shape isn't exactly the same as the original tele, but a superstrat isn't an exact copy of a stratocaster either, so... Blackat (Fred Brum) makes awesome "supertele's":
