Most amps nowadays have some kind of connector that lets you slip it over the plug looking thing on the speaker and then you're done. but my amp actually has it soldered on to my older speaker and plugged into the back of the amp via a speaker cable. my question is, is there a cable that is speaker cable with a 1/4th inch plug on one side of it and has the two little connectors on the other side? thanks! i need to install a new speaker but i dont want to have to resolder the old cable. sorry for not knowing the technical names of all of this.
Yes you can either get the ends that slip on the ends and crimp/solder them on to your current wires or buy a new cable.
where would i buy a new cable with these crimped plugs preattached?
I think that weber has them. But they are really easy to make. go to the hardware store and buy two clip conectors and crimp them on the old wire.
