Sup guys i am going to build a guitar from Warmoth it will be a adler mustang body with maple neck and maple fingerboard. I have two questions.

First I want the finish that Yngwie has on his strat and idk which of the warmoth finishes are closest to it.

Here are the three that i think might match

Vintage white: http://www.warmoth.com//Showcase/images/bodies/medium/mup30e.jpg

Light Yellow: http://www.warmoth.com//Showcase/images/bodies/medium/ps7466a.jpg

Cream: http://www.warmoth.com//Showcase/images/bodies/medium/pt2916a.jpg

Question two is which pickups would you recommend (Preferably Dimarzio) for my style
Im into metal but i also like playing clean/Bluesy/jazzy/progressive stuff and since i joined my high school jazz band i have to play that stuff.

bands/Artists that i am into or similar to my style

Metallica, Megadeth, Children of bodom, Avenged Sevenfold, randy rhoads, Yngwie Malmsteen, Pink Floyd, Symphony X, Dream Theater...

As you see its all over the place, the metal that i like is not very hard core i am into melodic stuff. I dislike active pickups, and looking into passives or singles, and i am thinking about an H-S Pick up config for the mustang, so tell me what you think.

YJM actually has guitars of several colors, FWIW, but I think the light yellow would be a good match.

As for pickups...a you looking for singlecoils, HBs, or a mix? And how many?

Q1: Vintage White (Yngwie's one is aged by now so more yellowish)
Q2: A Seymour Duncan P-Rails set would be pretty neat if you don't need ultra high output pu

Hmm idk Warmoth's vintage white seems to white for me when I was looking at user photos I want that color when he's playing arpeggioes from hell the most popular one, so I'm prob gonna go with the light yellow

And as for pickups configuration it can be H-H,H-S, or S-S I want high enogh output to play the bands I stated above and still play clean, jazz, and blues. I'm thinking towards h-s but not completely sure

I think there are a lot of HB options out there that might work for you. Besides the usual SD or DiMarazios, there are:

1) Tesla VR Extreme or one of their Plasma series

2) RailHammer Chisel

3) Lace Finger Burners or Alumitone Deathbuckers

4) The Creamery Dirty Shirt

5) Bareknuckle Rebel Yells

6) Vintage Vibe custom wound

...to name just a few.
