I seen a guy here locally trying to sell his Bugera 333XL Infinium with matching Buegra 4X12 cab AND some pedals all for 250$. He used to want 600, then 450, and now i just think he wants something for it. Online that head alone is 699. He says he's in debt. Should i go for it? Should i be weary? I plan on testing it out with MY guitar before giving him cash.

As a bugera it might be a bit unreliable, but it has a good tone. For that price, you should go for it in my opinion. Even if the bugera eventually bursts into flames you still made a good deal.

You could also just sell it onwards for more money

The Bugeras have a pretty poor reputation, but for that price I don't think I'd hesitate if everything works and sounds good to you when you try it.

True I once sold a roland micro cube I bought for 20e onwards for 70e And I'm sure it sounds good, it might be unreliable but the sound should be good.

Shit, for $250 you could possibly pick up a VTM or an Ultra. I wouldn't touch a Bugera with a 10 foot fire ******ant pole.

It's not about the money.

If you're going for it, I'd say that you get all of it. You could sell them onwards for enough money to buy a new Bugera 333XL.

Certainly, ignore what people say about them being bad quality. They're as robust as any other amp. The Infinium technology is a really great idea, you can basically mix and match tubes with no biasing needed. I'd jump on it if there's nothing immediately wrong with it. The 333XL is a clone of a Peavey amp is it not? It sounds pretty darn close.

No, he should not ignore what we say about bad quality control. It's a real problem for them. It's not like we make this all up, Bugeras do have a tendency to catch fire spontaneously.

I just love it how every thread concerning Bugeras turns into a Bugera bashing thread I have nothing in particular against them, except that I've heard that they might, well, explode without any apparent reason.

They don't actually explode, just catch fire.

Congrats, that's a hell of a deal. The Bugera's may have issues with quality, but they sound great and at that price you can't really go wrong.
