O to disregard the cold
the late April drizzle

shallow waves
a water lily drifts astray
how wide the pond is!

somehow unexpected
in this old unspoiled forest
mosquitoes



My first tries at preserving the spirit of haiku. The narrator probably intrudes a bit too much.
