So, I'm a total noob when it comes to the Floyd Rose setup. I don't really know much about it except for the basics. Anyway, I was playing a gig, and I wanted to use my new Floyd Rose guitar, (A Schecter Damien-FR), because it's the best guitar I have. I needed to change tunings a couple times in the middle of the gig, so I locked the bridge, took off the locking nuts, and put them somewhere where "I wouldn't lose them." Now I can't find them anywhere. I need to order some more, so how do I know what size to order? I'm looking at some 8mm ones right now.
Floyd Rose only lists one part number for each finish of lock blocks, in your case FR-NCB/B. I would say to order a new nut and just use the blocks and screws and be done with it. That way you get genuine FR quality and fitment.
Next time just loosen them a bit.
