sure

to begin with, i'm a SG player, playing mostly punk / hardcore / metalcore stuff.
the SG is actually pretty good for those All That Remain / ABR / stoner songs i like playing...
but i didnt want to retune it every single time so i just got myself a second guitar.

my very first electric actually was a LTD but one of the cheap models (F-50 i believe)
and surprisingly it was built very well and felt / sounded alot better than i expected.

so again, ive decided to look for another ltd. this time ive had a little more to spend
so i went for the higher priced models. to be honest, i was pretty much sold for the EC line from the beginning.

EC line also had many options, the ec1000t i ended up buying is more of a "traditional" and is built like a LP custom, its thick and heavy body, the neck is a U shape neck, thin and feels pretty fast.

it is also my first try with locking tuners and man, those things are incredible. string changing takes less time and the tuner posts look clean without those strings warped around them, wish my SG had those

the guitar comes standard with EMG 81/85, to be honest i was quite skeptic about those. however they sounded a lot better than i expected them to be.
the emg 81, which is the bridge pickup and the one i play mostly is very clean and "sharp", just what i was looking for.
the guitar also features 2 volume knobs, which is a good bonus.

now, the best part i think is the build quality, i don't think its possible to find
a new guitar for the same price with the same built quality and hardware
you get on a LTD. the paint work and attention to details is hard to beat (at that price point of course)

so, would i recommend this to a friend? absolutely

I almost bought an EC-1000 on several occasions until my Gibson showed up, I would've bought a 1000 had I not found it.

And well yes, I'll enjoy the carpal tunnel and tendonitis, because trying to get one is clearly smarter than any word you have spoken thus far.

Oh just thought I'd mention, that bridge finish wears off pretty easily (I even wipe it down after each play)

That guitar is gorgeous, I was GAS-ing for one for the longest time...

... now I'm GAS-ing for one again. Thanks. Really.

But seriously, HNGD.

I think I'm the only EC-1000 owner in the world who thinks his EC is "meh". My H-301 destroys it: dat tummy cut.

I keep it because it's REALLY nice to look at. That inspires me to play and to play it.

HNGD!

I miss my EC in Vintage Black, was a sexy well made lovely playing guitar. But for some reason it didnt agree with the low tunings and didnt keep tune on the G string ever. Shame I had to sell it

I have always had this on low tunings on a lot of guitars. I guess you use a plain G string?

If you use a wound string instead you will find it sounds, and stays in tune a lot better with tunings such as drop B and A#

well, i think ive found out the only downside to this guitar...
if youre playing sitting down, the body kills your picking hand because theres no a curved
