Here is a Melodic Shredding Improvisation video that i did.
I play over a backing track by Andy James.
The backing track is from his DVD "Andy James - Epic Rock - Vol. 1" and its called "Still my Heart".
I hope you guys enjoy it.

How come Jake Motionless' first and only forum post is in your thread, saying that his mind is blown by your playing (which, to be honest, doesn't sound much like an 'improvisation', but later on that)?
If that is your fake account, be aware that mods can find that out and you could be banned.

On the OP, I like your playing, it's precise and fast and everything else, and that's why it doesn't quite sound like an improvisation - it is too perfect to be improvised on spot. [opinion]But you are trying a bit too hard to show off. You should not be a guitarist, you should be a musician. [/opinion]
Also, the melody is very cliche-ed. If it wasn't for inspecting your fingerwork, I wouldn't find it very entertaining.

If I had just started playing guitar I would think you are a god. You are technically a very good player however nothing in the solo jumped out at me. I think you could put your skill to better use if you came up with more melodies and used the shred where necessary.

Overall 4/10 would not listen to again,

when you listen to Andy James you notice he is very melody driven and uses the shred where it is tasteful. You have the skill now it's time to work on the writing.

Peace

Well maybe this one is going to be your "cup of tea" then. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_OYm09X8Ba4
Its from my solo album its more melodic (its a balad) and the whole album is more melodic as well. This video was more about the technique and you know... just to have fun.
Hopefully you'll like my album stuff more!

I enjoyed that a lot more, it was nicer to listen to and had a story to tell.
