Ordered my new (also 1st) bass last Saturday and just got an email letting me know it is on the way. I bought it at Sweetwater and they have photos of all their guitars showing you what you are buying. They sent me those photos so I'm posting them showing the new bass. I know it's not a top of the line or high end but for my 1st bass I believe I got a good one.
It is a ESP LTD D4

You did indeed get a good one. The LTD D4 is a solid instrument that will serve you well for a very long time. HNBD! Enjoy the hell out of it! And welcome to the Low End, my friend!

Sweet looking bass - how does it sound?
