Hi everyone! I have a Yamaha Pacifica 112 and I found out that the truss rod is broken... so I need to change the neck (because I can't afford to repair it or buy a new one), do you know if the neck must be of a Yamaha Pacifica 112 too? Or what should I have in mind in order to buy a neck of a different guitar that could be compatible?

For example, I have seen this:

(I can't put the link so:

Replacement Maple Neck Rosewood Fingerboard for ST Strat Electric Guitar I113

I have measure my Yamaha's neck and they are very similar, but my neck's edge is not soo rounded and I could have problems with that...

What do you think? Should I look for a Yamaha Pacifica 112 neck (I haven't found so much...) or another like that one could be suitable?

Thanks in advance!

Oh, great thread, I think I used the wrong words to search for it, thanks!

I'd just pick up a cheap used guitar, a new neck is going to be as much or more than a used Pacifica 112.

True. There's this and often similar cropping up on ebay over here. Although you might also manage to find a used neck for about half as much.
