Hi I have some questions and pictures will follow I just bought a LP Hondo II from a pawn shop looks like the one in the picture below.

Alright here's the questions

1 How can I tell what year it's from? I can not find a serial number on it.

2 What wood is it made out of? When I tap on the top it sounds hollow.

3 Did all the Lp Hondo II's come with DiMarzio pickups? I haven't taken them out to look yet

4 Also to settle an argument with my girl friend it's most defiantly worth more then $92 bucks right?

Thanks

Don't compromise what you want just because the other option is easier. That's how people get stuck with fat chicks.

Love it

First: Gratz with the new guitar! but please, put some strings on it...

1: Check behind the pickups in the cavity if there maybe is a serial there.

2: Can't help you with this one but if you can find a serial then you can usually find some more specific info about the model.

3: Pop em out and check it, since it's from a pawn shop, it could be that these are not the original pickups.

4: If it feels good and you are happy with it, then yes. Just give the misses a sweet kiss in the morning, some lovely words and bring some flowers/chocolate or whatever for her and she'll forgive you :P. If this doesn't work, get her a puppy, chicks love puppies.

i used to own one of these, a burgundy quilt top one, was a lovely guitar but had to sell due to needing cash.

1: i don't know exactly sorry

2: mahogany, but chambered

3: yes, stock were dimarzio's, and good ones at that

4: almost certainly

hondo gets a bad rep at times, but the hondoII that i had was lovely!
Belief is a beautiful armour but makes for the heaviest sword.
