I remember readin.g an interview that discussed how much work went into the guitar tones on PM5K's Tonight the Stars Revolt! album.
It was more than just tight distortion and compression, but there was more to it to make those machine type sounds. I'm really interested in these tones that I think were ahead of their time.

All I have is a Telecaster and Orange amp with a Boss DD2.

See, it's important that people clarify when they say "metal", because I pretty much always assume they are a Cannibal Corpse fanboi.

i

I have a bad attitude. The heat doesn't help.

I'm fascinated by the PM5K tones, but atm thick Rammstein type tones are prob easier to achieve. The other could take a while!

I'd like to hear from anyone who's gotten into these types of sounds.

Orange CR35LDX 1x10" 35 Watt Combo Amp is my machine.

I've been eyballing the Landmine Distortion pedal for that heavy buzzsaw sound, but it's really hard to find one for sale.
