Hey people,

I just bought the Peavey 6505 a couple of days ago, and i was experimenting with it and i like it with the presence at 10, but is it dangerous if i set it all the way up?

Thnx

What? You could dial all knobs to 10 and not hurt anything...

Presence adjust frequencies in the negative feedback loop. It compliments the treble.

See, it's important that people clarify when they say "metal", because I pretty much always assume they are a Cannibal Corpse fanboi.

Adjust to where everything sounds best and play the shit out of it.

Agreed with Supersac, the only thing that would damage your amp at 10 is most likely the volume. You'll never ever need to put it up to 10 though.

The 6505s volume will kill you before you can get it to 10.

@TS: putting the presence on 10 won't hurt your amp at all.

i hope they have a warning label on that thing.

They need a warning label for it. I haven't been past 2 on any of the ones I've owned. Can't hear the drummer past that.
