im trying to fix a ibanez rg770 and im confused about one thing and that there is a long wire connected to the volume knob that i dont know where it goes.

Could you be any more vague? It's probably the ground to the bridge though.

not sure if its the same but i just replaced some pickups on my RG350 and that was screwed into the wood in the trem cavity underneath the springs and is in fact a ground wire
