Hey guys, this is probably a simple fix but I've never done it before. Basically, the problem I'm having with my Schecter is that when I'm playing clean passages with volume swells, my neck pickup volume knob generates a little static while I spin it. This obviously hurts the sound of my playing. Is it a simple matter of getting into the volume pot and spraying it down with something? Thanks for any help!

Pop it open and spray some electrical contact cleaner in there, then turn the pot back and forth quickly a few times to spread it around. You may need to repeat a few times. Any electronics place will have DeOxit or a similar contact cleaner.

This is a temporary fix for dirty pots. At some point you'll have to replace it.
