Hi I'm currently learning Asturias (pretty much basing it off Isaac Albeniz's version). There is a part in the song which is confusing me:

When the open b string is played twice between the other notes should I be playing it with two upstrokes (feels comfortable at slow speeds) or one up and one down stroke? All this would be done with my middle finger finger picking and I'm just wondering is the up and down stroke a proper technique?

Thumb plays the bass notes, middle finger plays the first open b, index plays the second open b.
