Is there anyone who is really knowledgeable in the field of amps and effects who can tell me how to get this guitar tone? I'm dying to know how they did it!

(remove the space beween 'youtube." and the rest)

P.S: i realize that this band's political ideas (though not expressed in this song) are far less than attractive. I don't really care, however. I just dig the music.

Marshal JCM800/900 and a fuzz pedal of some kind. EHX big Muff would work.

Then it is all about EQ settings

This may not be what they actually use, but it will get you that sound

Thanks. What EQ settings do you think?

That's something you'd need to play around with. But I'd start with bass on 6, Mids at 7-8 and treble at 5-6

But that will depend on your guitar, speakers and how the fuzz pedal is used

You Rock.

Well that is just basic dirty punk

And I have played in punk bands since 2001 and listened to punk since 1992

I hear ya. I'd heard lots of dirty punk tones but theirs sounded so...full

A lot of the fullness can come from techniques in the studio as well, not just their amp setup alone.

i didn't listen to the song or anything, but 6505 will do that.
punk isn't dead, it's always smelled that way.
