I'm sorry if this thread is in the wrong place, I'm new.
I bought a second-hand Squier Strat a few days ago off of eBay. I have literally no guitar experience but I bought an amp and strings, which should be arriving today.
How should i go about changing the strings? I know there are videos on YouTube, but I'm still a little antsy about it.
I'm pretty sure I know what to do, but I need some tips on something dummies (aka me) do wrong that mess things up
They're just some standard hybrid strings. I also don't have any guitar playing friends so i couldn't get any help, if that's what someone would suggest

thanks in advance

There is thread stuck at the top of this forum that will tell you everything you need to know.

Don't know why you chose hybrid string sets though. For a beginner I would go with straight up 9s or 10s then see how it feels from there.

Absolute dummy restring tips?
-Don't be an ass and have your extra string length flailing around or curled up in a loop, just clip them.
-Don't buy cheap strings, good quality American made strings are only 5 bucks, you have no excuse.
