I wasn't completely sure this is where I would post this but if not I apologize

My amplifier isn't putting out sound...I plug the cord in and it just gives me feedback noise but doesn't read anything I do on the guitar...if I touch the string it stops buzzing and I'm not sure if it's just the cord, the guitar, or the amp...at one point if I kinda tugged the cord to the side where it connects at the amp and it'd work but now it does nothing...I need a new amp either way because mine is a piece of crap but I'm hoping to not have to buy a new guitar...I just want to know before I get the amp so I know what all I need to replace...please do help

Its either a bad cord or a loose wire on the jack on the amp. both easy to fix

Thank you ^^' I was nervous about that...I figured it was the amp but I wanted to make sure...I'm replacing it either way so by any chance would you know where to direct me to attempt it myself purely because I enjoy trying new things

i would take it to a guitar shop and try playing with different cables, amps, guitars, etc to isolate the problem
