Hiya,
Could you tell what varnish the Fender Special Jaguar neck made in japan has?

Most MIJ Jags have a vintage tint finish on the neck.
Telecaster - SG - Jaguar
Princeton Reverb, Extra Reverb
P-Bass - Mustang Bass
Apogee Duet 2 - Ableton Suite

a pretty damn glossy, sticky, and slow finish. i sanded that shit down right quick. why guitar makers insist on slathering their necks with this dumb varnish is beyond me.

I think it's a really nice finish. Maybe the best I've ever had.

I vastly prefer Gibson's Faded finish just for the rawness of the neck. However I REALLY like the finish on Japanese Fender necks... I think the Japanese necks are better than their American equivalents most of the time.
