So, I was reading reviews of Guthrie's first book on Amazon, and one guy says this: "guthrie goes off on tangents about dipping your elbows in hot water before playing..."

?

Anyone know what that's all about?

I dip my hands/forearms before practicing (tendonitis in my wrist).

Elbows you say..... I will try that.

No, Guthrie only mentions how some guitarists warm up for a show. He mentions Satriani dipping elbows in hot water before a show, but he doesn't say that he would advise doing something like this.

That's pretty funny. I didn't know Satch did that.

Maybe Satch has some form of tennis elbow? I wash my wrists with warm water before playing after I injured my wrist last year.

Interesting... i have heard Holdsworth talk about soaking his hands in water before a show, but nothing of elbows...
