Anybody know of a guitar that has a double cut body (super strat preferably), 24 frets, neck-thru construction, HH configuration, floyd rose, and a flashy finish for under $500. So basically half the guitars made today but refined down to several choices. The last two guitars I've owned were Fender and I loved the second one (Mexican Tele) to death. I thought the neck was the most comfortable thing I ever played at first but now I'm tired of the bolt-on neck, it not being double-cut, and how thin it was. I want something wider so my fatty little fingers won't get crowded. Also, I'm tired of playing blues and jazz and hearing BZZZZZZZZ every time I turn the gain knob past .25 on a low-gain amp so that's why I want an HH config (passive or active). Any suggestions? Oh yeah, no skulls plz.

Look at an ltd. I have owned a ec400, ec401 and an ec1000, good for the money. I forgot their line of superstrat model, but they don't hold value so they can be found cheaply. Especially the ec's

Just go look around and see what you like. Watch craigslist.

You CAN play anything with anything....but some guitars sound right for some things, and not for others. Single coils sound retarded for metal, though those who are apeshit about harpsichord probably beg to differ.

WOW-I assumed no one'd answer. And WOW-Prestige model for under $500? Thanks for the replies btw. I'll look into the EC models from LTD for sure. Ibanez RG's have always impressed me but... I dunno why I haven't looked into the RG models. I think my parasitic fetal twin in my stomach has harbored and sequestered all of my hipster juices and exploded after hearing Ibanez for the billionth time making me feel distasteful of Ibanez in general because they seemed too mainstream.

Thanks for the links. I feel like an ass though because I saw the 25th anniversary RG in fluorescent pink and I feel obligated by all things fabulous and quirky to at least look into it. Sorry.
