I'm a bit of a novice when it comes to guitar pedals but am looking for a bit of advise. I recently bought a second hand Jekyll and Hyde pedal of ebay and when I put the distortion (Hyde) channel on and I play the high E string it doesn't seem to ring out for long. Just wondering if anyone else has used this pedal and if this is normal. Debating whether just send ask for a refund and buy a brand new one.

Thanks in advance

IIRC there's a built in noise gate on the pedal, open the back up and either turn the threshold down or shut the gate off completely. See if that rectifies it.
