Just a song I wrote over the last few weeks. Always makes me chuckle that the person that I generally write my songs about/for never usually hears them. Aint that some shit.

Anyway, it's called Where The Tires Meet The Road .

Lyrics:

I will never know what it means
To take the boat out to sea
I will stand alone on the shore
Just staring down at my feet
And you will never know how I feel
Because I will never have the nerve
To tell you the truth
That I miss you

I will live where tires meet the road
Just navigating my way home
The rain is beating down on the hood
Better roll up my window
Just weaving in and out of the cars
That move way to slow for
Me to make my move
Gotta get through

I gotta find you
I gotta get through
I gotta find you
Wherever you are

I will never know what it means
To try my hardest at anything
Just feel the sun beat on my back
As the vultures are circling
Everyday awake just to say
I slept way too late to get anything done
My bones they are aching

You can stand alone on the shore
Just looking out at the sea
Your hair blowing back in the wind
And your dress in the breeze
And I will lose the nerve just to say
That I have missed you so much since
You have been gone
It has been so long
Where has the time gone?
