I have a chance to go to Japan (Tokyo) and USA (Seattle).
I'm just wondering which place would be better to buy a guitar around $300-$400.
Which place is cheaper and easier to buy an Ibanez electric guitar?

That's tricky - Ibanez is a Japanese company (well, Hoshino Gakki is, and they own Ibanez), but honestly either place should work fine. In the US you'll have an easier time because we speak English here, which you seem to have a grasp of. Can't say the same for Japan.

But let me be the first to ask... Why Ibanez?
Current Gear:
LTD MH-400 with Gotoh GE1996T (EMG 85/60)
PRS SE Custom 24 (Suhr SSH+/SSV)
Ibanez RG3120 Prestige (Dimarzio Titans)
Squier Vintage Modified 70s Jazz V
Audient iD22 interface
Peavey Revalver 4, UAD Friedman BE100/DS40
Adam S3A monitors

You CAN play anything with anything....but some guitars sound right for some things, and not for others. Single coils sound retarded for metal, though those who are apeshit about harpsichord probably beg to differ.

Guitar shopping actually sucks here in Japan.

The main chain stores just stock whatever's new and a bunch of lowest bidder beginner guitars. The only good chain store is ESP Big Boss. The problem for you is hardly anybody here stocks many Ibanez guitars at all, ironically enough. Also none of the chains stock used either, for those you'll have to find a used specialist shop, which are very few and far between.

Long story short, you'll not find your guitar here.

Wow, that is weird. I looked at some in Singapore, they were 30% cheaper than the states, that was about 10 yrs ago though.
