How does the neck of the Fender American Vintage '52 Telecaster ("U" shape) compare with the neck of a Gibson Les Paul (50s "C" shape)? How much thicker is it? I've got big hands so hopefully it won't be too big. Obviously I'd need to try out for myself to see for sure, but a rough idea would be nice.
My Current Gear
Gibson Les Paul Standard Faded (Cherry Burst) || Gibson Les Paul Junior (Vintage Sunburst)
Marshall 1987X and 1960AX || Weber Mass 100
Fulltone OCD pedal || Ibanez TS-9 tube screamer || Big Muff Pi with Tone Wicker || Boss AC2
Deeper, but not as round. So the shoulders are smaller. To me it seems less substantial in the hand, so if you can manage a 50s neck it shouldn't give you any trouble. I find both necks very comfy but the U feels less chunky to me because of the way it's distributed.
