Anyone else think their guitar looks too big on their body? Obviously this doesn't change the sound or anything really important but I feel, as a pretty skinny chap, my guitar looks out of proportion with the rest of me haha
#3
The obvious solution is to buy an even bigger guitar.

Then when someone says "That's a big guitar, isn't it?" you can just say "Yes, yes it is."

Being almost 2 meters tall heavily built northern giant my problem is quite the opposite.
I dont know what to say... Maybe think of your guitar as extension of your penis, bigger is better.

Maybe try a short-scale like a Mustang or Jaguar.

Yeah a Les Paul looks small on me. I love it when you get players where the guitar looks huge on them. Randy Rhodes, Paul Kossoff...

I'm a skinny guy and I used to have a Gibson archtop replica (335 is it?), looked ****ing huge and was heavy as hell xD

Even better when the singer (1.6 meters tall, or even less) tried to play it xD

Haha 6 foot, my problem is width

Well you can't change your body type. I'm quite slim as well, and 6' 3''. Underweight too. Result of insanely fast metabolism. Was 48 kilos 1 1/2 years ago. Hit the gym, managed to increase to 74. Still another 6 needed

Seriously, hit the gym, work especially on your torso, will lessen the problem.

****ing hell, that's ridiculously slim. I looked really slim at 65 being 5ft 11.

That weight deserved medical intervention, not the gym.

Glad you put some on. I did too when I stopped smoking. 85 now rwar!

Two words : Angus Young. He is SOOO small. His hands are like the size of a raccoons. But he plays very well, which goes to show that size doesn't matter, it's how you use it. But get like a Duo-Sonic or something. 24" scale, light weight, and a small body to boot.
I only feel like me when I'm behind my ax...

Lol I'm 6'1" and I weigh 130 lbs, and I play a Jaguar, which happens to have a HUGE body. I don't think it looks silly. Alot of people think you have to look like Zakk Wylde to play guitar. It's all macho masculinity complex stuff anyways. I always thought skinny people looked cooler with guitars anyways. But that's my personal opinion.

I'm pretty much even with mah baby, so I've never really had that problem.

I am average in all respects.

Even the weiner is... well... average.

However, my DT400 still looks huge.

I want a V...

How does that even happen?

I'm 5'10", 190lbs. Not even fat, just thick.

Like mah penis.

Get a V. Those are always low-profile. I prefer a bigger piece of wood for the tone and sustain, but if how it looks is your main concern, you can't go wrong with a V.

Sounds like my college roomie, except he was 5'11". I'm 5'7"...and I was 193lbs at the time.

Lol I did ask a doc. He told me to eat more, and to exercise too
seems my body stops sending hunger pangs if I dont work out. Working out automatically makes me much hungrier. Again, fast metabolism so it burns through carbs like mad. I can eat like someone with a death wish, and end up gaining barely half a kilo a month later on the flip side, after gaining all that weight, I look nice and athletic, though still a wee bit on the slim side

I would say "Why are you so concerned with how you LOOK playing the guitar...?" Then again...Who here HASN'T stood infront of a mirror with their guitar?

I have not.
