Recording guitar via Pod Pro, into a focusrite saffire pro 24 via a mic cable, and then into my DAW. I set my tone, get a nice clear one, I record, sounds fine. However, when I play my track back, the signal is muddy and fizzy, completely different to the sound over the monitor. Can someone help me with why this is? Its driving me crazy

Sounds like you may be overdriving the input slightly. How are the recording levels?

On my saffire they are well within the green, do you have to also keep logic x's in the green? cos the track sometimes goes red on it

Are you able to put a sound clip on your profile? It would make it a lot easier to sort out the problem

Oh and the guitar a gibson les paul in drop D, thickest gauge is .046. I have Tube Screamer just before the pod. Could it be becuase the pick up is too high? i normally have it set high as I drop to C and B a lot and i like the attack and chunk i get
