i've seen it before covering the open spaces on the sides of pickup cavities, namely the green goop on steve vai's guitars. what is it and where can i find it? i've tried using electrical tape to keep the sweat out but it doesn't stay.

It's play-doh. Rolling it into the shape of a snake will give you more tone.

The only stuff I can think of at the sides of pickups like on Steve Vai's guitars is just electrical tape to stop the strings getting stuck under the pickup, not to keep sweat out of the cavities. Is there anything else apart from this tape that he's put on recently that I just haven't seen yet?
