I'm surprised I couldn't find a thread on Interpol

So I guess I decided to make one myself^^

My favorite of course is TOTBL

Self titled is good too...idk why people seem to not like it. Try it on is amazing! also Barricade is good.

Anyone know if Interpol is coming out with a new album anytime soon?

Yes, apparently they are. Recently there was an article on UG that they were working on one right now that should drop soon. I hope it's as good as the others, I really dig their sound.

There is a thread but whatever. Bright Lights is a top 5 album of all time for me.

Really? I did a search and no Interpol thread.

Hey guys! Just thought I'd stop in and say hi. As I'm writing this Sam Fogarino's drumstick is sitting in front of me on my desk!!! I caught it when Interpol played in Memphis in 2010. They were incredible live!! I wish I could have caught them live before Carlos left.

So here's where this post get's crazy. Daniel Kessler's sound has been a major force in my life for the last ten years. I don't know why his sound just reached out and grabbed me, but it did. I kept joking with my wife that one day I was going to buy his guitar and learn to play his sound. I've never played guitar in my life, never even held one. Well, I bought an Epiphone Casino a few days ago!!! Will be here Tuesday. From what I've read, Daniel played a 67 Casino for TOTBL, but it was stolen, and he's since played a 65 Gibson ES-335. I couldn't justify spending that much on the Gibson, but when I saw the Casino was pretty reasonable - I just went for it.

If I actually succeed at playing guitar I'll come back here and tell you how it's going. My fantasy right now is just plugging in and hearing that sound. But I've got a long way to go
