I've been talking to someone about buying their g400 with a case lately, but they just told me they have a les paul case, they claim it fits fine, but it seems like a horrible idea to me, anyone else do the same thing? Just seems like an sg would have too much room to move around

Have a look for yourself.

I can't tell just by knowin that the case is a les paul's.

If it works anyway go for it, and unless buy just the guitar for a litle less money if you can, and get yourself something like a gitarfetish.com hardshell case.
Name's Luca.

Clue: amplifiers amplify so don't turn it on if you need quiet.

It fits. It might not be the tightest fit, but it works.
