...has to be the worst lyric i've ever heard. That godawful slice of shit comes from some shitty love song by a disgusting singer/songwriter (i've got feelings!) band called The Lemonheads. I'm sure it's not the shitest though, so pit post the worst lyrics you've ever heard...or just call me a twat, it's all good.

Swollen with liquid
Ready to burst
A load of my lymph
Will quench this dead body's thirst

One month in the grave
Twisted and half decayed
She turned a putrid yellow
I pissed in her maggot filled asshole

****ing the rotting, my semen is bleeding
The smell of decay
Seeps from her genital cavity
The smell was unbearable, as I unburied her

I cum blood from my erection
I feel it run
Down her throat, swallow

Eyes glassy and vacant
Body dug up to play with
Skin greasy and naked
Tonguing her rotted anus

I need a live woman
To fill with my fluid
A delicate girl
To mutilate, **** and kill

Her body exceptional
She thought I was normal
But I wanted more
I came blood inside of her

Choking on the clot
Gagging on the snot
Gushing blood, from her mouth
Bloody gel leaking out

Body buried in a shallow grave
Unmarked for none to find
The sickness I have left behind
Undetected go my crimes

The greatest thrill of my life
To slit my **** with a knife
Violent, climax, serging serum on my skin
Back from the dead
I am resurrected to spew, putrefaction

Oh wait, did you say worst? I thought you said best

I can't tell if Marilyn Manson's lyrics are awful or genius...
Tomorrow will take us away
Far from home
No one will ever know our names
But the bards' songs will remain
Tomorrow will take it away
The fear of today
It will be gone
Due to our magic songs

The man himself is incredibly intelligent and a very inspiring person by nature, but his music is insipid.

Oh and all modern country has awful lyrics until proven otherwise.

"I love you and the baby, too
But I gotta fight for the red, white, and blue
Sometimes I just don't know what to do
'Cause I'm so red, white, and blue"
It's a process, not an event.

What I was thinking. If it weren't for the simple drop D riffs and him drunkenly shouting, his music would be listenable.

How about if I said everything that has ever been on the top 40? Except in the 70s when good music was mainstream.

Listen to some real country music...Justin Townes Earle, Jason Isbell etc. The best songwriters out there.

The Lemonheads and Evan Dando are amazing, go and actually listen to some of their songs...

It's really just a bad way of thinking that only hurts you. You should be trying to appreciate music of all kinds. There's nothing wrong with the current state of music, popular or not.

YES!

I don't listen to much scenecore/metalcore/whatever they're calling it now, but Attila usually have a nice, raw sound, but their lyrics are so stupid... "Rage" is such a band song, lyrically.

The only lyrics, of late, that have bothered me are from the two "biggest" hip hop albums of the year, "Yeezus" and "Magna Carta... Holy Grail". I enjoy both albums. I truly do. "Yeezus" was a breath of fresh air for the pop world, and MCHG is one of the best produced albums Jay-Z has released.

But, on Kanye's "Black Skinhead":

"I keep it 300, like the Romans
300 bitches, where's the Trojans?"

Now, the Trojans line may just be a simple rhyme, but let's assume he was connecting the rhymes with a central reference. The 300 were Spartans. From Greece. Not Rome. Yes, the Trojans were Greek, but they were not Spartans. Spartans are from Sparta. Trojans are from Troy. There's no excuse for this.

THEN, in "Fuckwithmeyouknowigotit" on MCHG, Rick Ross says:

"Reeboks on, I just do it, nigga"

Is 2013 just the year of getting references wrong?

I mean, I'm sure they both had artistic reasons for their screw ups, but nothing really seems like it would warrant such a lousy, lazy line. Why no actually write a line that is worth it?

I just laugh every time I hear them. It doesn't make me hate the songs, or the men who say them, but I just shake my head, and just wonder, "Why?"

TL;DR People get references wrong. Why? smh
