I'm looking to either buy a Roland JC-120 or a pod HD 500 as my jet city JC22h is too loud to get the desired tone I want out of it, also it doesn't clean up as nicely as I'd like it to as well. I already have lots of analog pedals, so this is why I'm considering the JC-120, but I've heard it doesn't take well to most dirt pedals, but I still think I'd rather have an amp than a processor going through m-audio av40 monitors. As for what I play, I play mostly 80s glam rock, some metal, psychedelic and all over really. I'd like to know what you guys think, thanks.

My JC-120 Takes pedals really well. But to be honest I think a Pod HD might be better for overall practice. Will give you a good variety of tones and all that jazz

A "tubescreamer" is a person paid by a guitarist to stand behind the amp and scream at the tubes. This terrifies the tubes into overdriving and delivers a thick, harmonic-rich tone.
