Hello,

Just wondering what you guys and gals thought my guitar is worth if I was going to sell it?

Its a epiphone pewter '58 explorer

Pretty good used condition only a couple of minor bumps and full functional.

Any advice would be much appreciated.

It looks to me like a Epiphone Pewter '58 Explorer. I can't find any used for sale. And they were a limited edition so there aren't any new ones either. (I'm assuming.)

Probably not much because it is only an epiphone. Even if it is a limited edition one.

I'd say £250

Thanks for the reply.

After a little research I'm struggling to find any of these for sale. So guessing a for sale price is going to be tough..

What is it now then? How much would you sell yours for?

Go see if you can find an epiphone catalog from.when the guitar was made. I just did the same thing expect with a schecter because I want to buy one off Cl but the price is suspiciously low.....
-Peavey 6505+
-Bugera 333xl(w/6l6 pt's) -dead
-412 X-pattern loaded w/ WGS veteran30s & HM75s
-Gibson Les Paul, SD Blackouts *being worked on back to stock*
-Jackson DR7, EMGs
-LTD MH417
-Peavey Vyper 75w

I honestly think asking between $300-350 sounds reasonable. The problem is that this one isn't Korina. Which if you try googling an "Epiphone 58 Explorer" you find all these "Korina Explorer 58" reissues.

Its Green

I would never sell mine but I would value it at about £200-250 for yours.

Great guitars.

A couple things about this guitar. Epiphone had it spec'd with a mahogany/alder body, which somewhat cryptic, most likely means that it is a laminated body. There was a run of Explorers and Flying-Vs in 2002 with mahog/alder bodies that ran along side the korina versions of those guitars. They only came in ebony that year. Since your guitar is a 2003 model, and not korina, I think it is safe to say that it is the same as the 2002 model in construction.

Being a lam body can somewhat devalue both the retail and resale price of a guitar. The limited edition color can increase the value of the guitar for the right buyer. But since beauty is in the eye of the beholder, the actual value of this guitar would be the same value as any other 2002-ish Explorer with a mahog/alder body. Even though this was a very limited edition, modern Epiphone guitars dont really command more money because of their colors. There are some exceptions, and again, to the right person this may be one of them, but in general it is not.

I'd agree that the $200-$250 range is about right.

Hey guys, Sick explorer! I was also wondering how much my guitar would go for? Recently got a great new Strat so need to sell my lovely Michael Kelly Patriot Decree. New they're about £349and I've had it for a year?
