Hi All,

I would like to let everyone know about my recent purchase for my son.

My son was mad over the Gibson Explorer - Problem is, he is a little 'lefty' (which Gibson no longer cater for in the Explorer)

I searched high and low and found a Chinese guitar factory which make replica electric guitars.

I got a Gibson Explorer Replica 'lefty' shipped to my door for a ridiculous $460.00.

Well 4 weeks after I ordered it, it arrived - The quality and finish is totally amazing!!!!! Make no mistake these things do play and they sound not too bad - However they do tell you in advance that they Don't Use Gibson gear, but that's ok for me, I can fit Gibson Gear on it if I want.

They are not shonks or underhanded in any way - They are providing quality, custom, replica (playable) guitar models that are no longer available. Gibson could not provide me with an Explorer Lefty but I found a decent company who could.

The Customer Service was also amazing !! - I hope this helps others out there - Sometimes we need to have a crack and trust these companies - They are providing affordable options for many people. Thank you "Rare Electric Guitar" You deserve the Shout Out !! - Well Done

I used to do that all the time so it doesn't really look that odd to me.
In my case its because I was a programmer and wrote all my code like that.
Makes code easier to read...

Just saying.

And his user name is the same as the guitar he supposedly purchased for his supposed son. Call me a wet blanket, but I have a problem with companies making and selling knock-offs. Too many folks have been ripped off by these fakes. That's the reason that Customs regularly seizes and destroys fake merchandise. Not to mention the fact that their quality can be less than desirable.

If you want to make a fake Gibson, go ahead and do it, but don't put Gibson on the headstock. And I don't want to hear the "Gibsons are overpriced" standard response.

You're even bad at advertising, where's the link to your virus we have to pay for, or your fake viagra?

fellow programmer

i tend to do something similar.

int doThisThing (int intValX, int intValY)

i tended to leave the first letter lowercase, but each new 'word' was uppercase.

when someone writes words like that though it always looks like they're talking about people and places to me.

Camel case ftw!

I always capitalized the first letter of classes and lowercased the first letter of functions.

Besides the fact that you could watch eBay if you really wanted one... there are a bunch of reputable companies who also make left handed EX shapes.

Yea, that's how I do it as well. First letter lower case, then upper case for the start of any other words in the function name.

IN REPLY
HI , been sitting here nearly crying with laughter - First of all to the other forum users, the capitalisation thing (Yes that's with an 's' not a 'z' (I'm Australian) - I typed the original message all in upper case and by default it somehow made the beginning of every word upper case. Apologies for any other spelling errors - no I am not Chinese lol.

For your information, I am a legit consumer and the company is a legit replica guitar manufacturer. Yes, due to the low cost I did wonder if it would ever turn up - but the website and customer service looked genuine - so I went a head with the order and it arrived, and very well protected too. (btw For that price, it also included insurance and as well PAYPAL-so you can't lose)

They have in depth company and product information. They also have a big legal spiel explaining how they can do what they do. But use your own discretion.

I confirm that I am not affiliated with this company in any way. I just believe it is important to help other people out so I submitted the post. Please understand that there are people out there, who for what ever reason would prefer to buy replica at an affordable price. In my case, I was buying something that the original company could not offer.

The replica's do look great, but no where did I say it sounds as good as the real thing - Of course a genuine Gibson will have better components etc. - The company clearly informs you that the components are not genuine Gibson, but again it depends what you are after and who the guitar is for. I got nothing against the real deal, I also just recently purchased a genuine Gibson.

If you are a purest, stick with the original, whatever...

Happy playing - All the best

Tone is in the fingers.

What you really need is a new amp.

I have been hearing about MG amps lately. I have heard good about them, but only a few times have they been talked about here.
