this is a food thread.

I bought mini stroopwafels for the first time today after YEARS of hearing about them from various people and just happened to find them in the store today. I'm not really supposed to eat sugary stuff but this is a reward for finishing some work.

I feel like each individual glucose molecule in my mouth just had sex and I can feel the collective post-glucosegasm cuddles all at once. I'm sure the freshly prepared ones are better and I can't even imagine anything nicer than this right now.

tell me about the first time you ate a certain food and what your experience was like.

Mini stroopwafels zijn inderdaad erg lekker.

The only time when I really enjoy food of drinks is when I open a can of cold Pepsi and drink it. The taste is so delicious.

the first time i ate In N Out Burger, it was delicious.

and then i was sad because they're only on the west coast.

my sensitive teeth caught up with the sugar (what a horrible phrase why did I type that) so I had to take a break. I just found out that I can do this

Where I worked in Paris there was a party like once every two weeks on average and it was mostly disgusting French food most of the time (except this one time a Moroccan girl left mmm), but there were usually a couple of boxes of macarons so I never actually had to buy any.

my first nutella was at the age of 9, in a nutella sandwich. I attempted to look for the jar after eating it and fell off the kitchen counter and burned my right elbow on the stove.

In fairness, after spending a year in France I can confirm that lays have some superior flavours that walkers do not such as pesto and apparently sriracha.
Not to worry though because walkers are the worst British crisps anyway so we can maintain our pride. The mainlanders and americans can never take our mccoys.

Ah my first macaron experience was lovely.

I went to NYC last weekend and got some from Laduree. They were $7 a pop but, oh my god, were they the best $70 I spent in my adult life.

I've tried those actually cos they had them at the american import shop downt road. They were pretty good, but they were no McCoy's.

Seriously if you can find McCoy's anywhere wherever you are, go and get some.
Seabrook crisps are incredible too.

McCoy's are really thick ridge cut crisps, I can't think of an american brand to compare them to but they're really flavoury. Seabrook are kind of comparable to walkers/lays max, but maybe thinner and oilier and they kind of somehow taste like they were made near a beach.
Ridged crisps are my favourite, but I also really like the tyrrells/kettle chips style too from time to time.

soooooooo gud. Tayto are by far the best crisps.

i had five guys for the first time like last year, and it was worth the hype. i want to try carls jrs/hardies but PA seems to be void of either of them.

I was just about to mention taytos

Seriously important for anyone with an interest in crisp history since they invented the first seasoned crisp (cheese & onion ofc)
I had an irish mate where I worked in Paris and he brought me some taytos. They were pretty great.
I had no idea they did ridged crisps though. I've never seen taytos for sale anywhere in England

Our class in primary school got to go to the Tayto factory as a school trip. We got to taste freshly made unflavoured crisps and got free Tayto memorabilia like lunch boxes and frisbees, so cool.

For some reason England doesn't stock them, it's weird since they're a lot tastier than Walkers. And the ridged crisps are new.

Yeah, had mine in a box too. I didn't even bat an eyelash. I didn't even look at the price first. They could've been $20 a piece and I still would've bought them. I highly recommend the Rose macaron. Such a sexy flavor.
