What's on your to-do list for the coming week/month/year?
What are you feeling really motivated to accomplish?
What are you not motivated at all about and feel you should write in this thread to prod yourself out of procrastination?

For me, I've got to update my CV (it still thinks I've never worked) which I have been putting off for ages, and then I gotta apply for both my provisional drivers license and a new passport (bring on the bureaucracy), and maybe things will get moving in the right direction.
And then I need to organise recording a thing for that UG anime album.

Your list is like your privilege (check daily for best results).

addendum; who else is looking forward to that film? I mean, it looks like a mediocre coming of age flick, but Aubrey Plaza is pretty hot.

-finish recording my summer EP and get that out before school starts up again
-meet awesome new people, develop friendships
-find love (!?!?!?!?)
-get together with this dude I just met who wants to start a band and rock the world
-crazy sub-goal for that previous one: win my university's battle of the bands thingy so that I can open our Sun God Festival (last year we had Portugal The Man and Kendrick Lamar headlining, if that gives you and idea of what I'm shooting for here...)

week- line up interviews and find things to do in this shithole. hopefully find new people that i can actually tolerate and that aren't ten kinds of insane because I'm stuck in a rut really badly.

month- new job, work that shit everyday to get cash. go to a deftones concert because **** yeah deftones. get better at guitar and spend less time of the day wasting life away.

year- leave the state. maybe actually try to make something of myself.

edit: oh yeah, and i also want to get a dude i know into some form of band with me because he's an absolute workhorse and could kick whatever band we start into action.

I want to quote each of you and acknowledge your noble quests with a

Another entry for my list, and I suppose it's related to the CV thing, is that I need to get a job. I've needed to get a job for quite a while now, but I think I'll try trying for a while, see if that's more effective than not trying.
I mean even if it's just a better paid/hours job in retail, it can't be hard to find one in the run up to Christmas now that I have some experience.

And with that job comes possibilities to add to the list, particularly learning to drive.

thanks man, really.

and i always find it funny how much longer it takes for some people to get around to learning to drive in cities. i live in a rural area where i pretty much knew how to drive before i even started driver's ed. but if i lived in a city i'm pretty sure i'd be wayyy too anxious to learn how to drive, especially at 14.

Not anxious (although I probably would have been if I tried to learn as a kid ), I'm looking forward to it. It's just that driving has never been an issue. Nobody in my family drove when I was young, the bus services have always been sufficient. Driving is more complicated and costly over here, too.

....2nd year of college? no. there is no way you are the same age as me.

I think he meant "college", not college.

Within the next year or so:

- Get a new job, preferably full-time
- Rent a two bedroom
- Take my G1 Driver's Test and eventually, G2 (I'm 22, so this is way overdue lol. Taking my G1 tomorrow, actually)
- Start my year of volunteering at a funeral home
- Save up for moving to Toronto
- Travel
- Make progress on my novel
- Possibly get a car
- Make her and I official...

DonGedit: also, put on more muscle mass.

It occurs to me that wanting to present myself well at job interviews, and the prospect of inevitably meeting new people when I find success, might be the motivation I need to try lose some weight again.
