I have a set of Humbuckers out of a 70's lawsuit Aria LP.
They're both stamped "Maxon" and the serial number is 23124
I did a bit of research on my own and found that it means they're
Series 2
made in 1973(3) February(1) 24th(24)

Neck postition is chrome covered and the bridge is open with round and square pole pieces.

Both pickups work and sound great. I just rebuilt my Aria and swapped them out for dimarzio 30th anniversary paf's

Just looking to see if I can get a estimated value on the set because they're just sitting around and if there's a market, I'd love to get them to someone who will enjoy them.
Thanks

Judging from eBay, it isn't worth very much since none have sold on there recently. The few that are listed have been relisted so it's a very small market for these.

I think sometimes people get wrapped up in the age things, especially related to lawsuit guitars. they were not all great, i have played a few nice ones but some were't that great. I am not overly experiences that guitar exactly butsome are all over the map.

One of my favorite quotes is something to the extent of: "Just because it's old doesn't mean it's worth anything.".

Many people definitely assume that everything appreciates with time, when that is just not the case.

I didn't really think I struck gold with these, I was just hoping to get a value so I know how much to get rid of them for. Also thought I might find a market for them on here. Thanks for the replies

Keep them in the case with the guitar. On their own those pickups have nearly no value. But if you sell the guitar with the DiMarzios it will sell for less money than it would if you just put the original pickups back.

^Very true, I'd just hold on to them.

I'm an idiot and I accidentally clicked the "Remove all subscriptions" button. If it seems like I'm ignoring you, I'm not, I'm just no longer subscribed to the thread. If you quote me or do the @user thing at me, hopefully it'll notify me through my notifications and I'll get back to you.

I'll have to put the Classic T models on my to-try list. Shame the finish options there are Anachronism Gold, Nuclear Waste and Aged Clown, because in principle the plaintop is right up my alley.

Presumably because the CCF (Combined Corksniffing Forces) of MLP and Gibson forums would rise up against them, plunging the land into war.
