He made them an offer they couldn't understand.

I've never found it to be sad, but OF COURSE the Fleetwood Mac version is better than shitty whiny-voice Smashing Pumpkins version. Fleetwood Mac is an actually talented band.
My God, it's full of stars!

only sad cos it reminds me of someone, otherwise i'd probably hate the song

(except that's a lie, the guitar work and chords are lovely)

Yeah, I definitely vote for the Pumpkins version of Landslide. What a great song either way though.

Is Overkill by Colin Hay, 'cause that's a good 'un. Never really watched Scrubs though.

Tom Waits is essential to every depressing playlist. But I think Vic Chestnut's Coward wins the war.
"Pain or damage don't end the world nor despair, nor fuckin' beatings. The world ends when you're dead, until then you have more punishment in store. Stand it like a man, and give some back."

Lose You by Pete Yorn is essential to any depressing music playlist IMO.

incredible song. i wouldn't say it's depressing per se but it makes me strongly feel big feels. it really boggles my mind what some people would call "depressing".

It reminds me of that South Park episode from a few years ago "You're getting old"

that's the only episode of south park that ever made me cry
