The other day I made sweet potato graham bars. Kind of like sweet potato pie, but with a graham cracker shortbread base, a thick layer of sweet potato pie filling (scratch-made of course ), and a burnt brown sugar and maple glaze on top.

I don't want to brag, but they're the tits. I'll post a pic later.

A picture of the dessert or tits? I'll welcome either one.

Baked my mum some Pumpkin Spice and Orange Muffins with a brown sugar and cinnamon crumble top for her birthday. Had to substitute a bit of the all-purpose flour for some whole wheat flour, but they still came out right—a little bit denser, maybe. They're moist, incredibly flavourful, and taste great buttered or with tea. I'll make 'em again some time. They'd do well as a loaf too.

I make all sorts of baked goods. My mom was a good baker and I learned a lot from her. I plan on taking a pastry course at my college just so I can get better.

My girlfriend has pics of me baking naked for her, but with just an apron on that says "Mommy" on it. I really hope no one finds those pics lol.

Semi-relevant: anyone have a a good recipe for vegan cookies (chocolate chip or otherwise)? I've tried a few batches, but I haven't found anything that's really over the top tasty yet.

My bakery is known for its vegan options; I have to cook at least 50% vegan for the stuff I make. Our vegan choc chip cookies are better than the normal ones. I can give you some recipes if you come back to this thread in the next few days

I may have to take you up on that.

The only food I've actually made from pretty much scratch was banana bread. It was so rich and moist. I really need to learn to cook stuff =/

I would rather serve ketchup and deep dish pizza than vegan food, but that's just me. You know what? I'll even add well done beef and sprinkles to that list.
There's no such thing; there never was. Where I am going you cannot follow me now.

The owner also owns a vegetarian restaurant All the cooks and bakers eat meat, for the most part, but production is a lot cheaper and easier to manage when there's no meat involved.

Also it's pretty easy to bake vegan. There are lots of different methods to get flour to do what you want with it other than butter + eggs. The vegan muffins we make involve a slurry of silken tofu, bananas, soy milk, and coconut oil emulsified in the food processor; the taste and texture of the combo is pretty delicious and makes for a meaty muffin in comparison to the typical oil&egg duo.

I made these green tea (vegan) cupcakes a while ago. They were awesome, although I must admit that cutting out hundreds of marzipan flowers got a bit dull.

(not my photo)

That looks awesome. Will definitely try that at the shop

yeah I have a hard time with the tedious little details in decorating marzipan is sooo worth it though

Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Muffins

I feel like that's the type of muffin you have to have like 8 of one after another.

They're definitely a crowd-pleaser. We make them 3 times a week at the shop and even when they're vegan, they always sell out in one night. Perfect with a cold cup of milk :3

The only thing I ever really bake is the cake mix that comes in a box. The special ingredient is the THC crystals from the bottom of my buster, and then it gets me baked.
