so after a regretable desicion with my strat(we"ll keep it at that),im looking to buy a new guitar so i can continue practicing.i am buying used since my budget is more or less 200$ i really find the v style nice(jackson),and would like a 24 fret neck. i am thinking of either buying the dean vmntx or jackson js32t what would be the better choice of the two.another guitar that caught my eye was the ibanez rg3ex1 does anybody have any info on that guitar?.

Out of what you mentioned I would go for the jackson. I would avoid the cheap deans as I've had bad experiences with them. Check craigslist or the used forum as well if you don't mind buying second hand, lots of great deals to be had in that price range if you look hard and long enough.

Deans don't get good until you break the $500 mark. Avoid the cheaper ones.
Sturgeon's 2nd Law, a.k.a. Sturgeon's Revelation: “Ninety percent of everything is crap.”

Why, yes, I am a lawyer- thanks for asking!

Log off and play yer guitar!

Strap on, tune up, rock out!

Seconded. It's sort of like having a logo attached to compressed oatmeal.

Might be better, actually, to look at brands like SX and Douglas.
