I returned my Marshall MG 30 CFX to the store today and I got a Blackstar HT-5R and it gets hot after 15-20 minutes of playing. Is this normal or should i get it back to the store. It's a 5 watt tube amp and also, I was wondering how this 5 watt tube amp is even louder than a 30 watt Marshall MG.

Yeah, that's pretty normal as long as it's not crazy hot. What colour is the power tube? That's the 12BH7

MG's are shit.

Because watts ≠ volume. Tube amps are usually louder than solid states, but not always, too many variables. Tubes get warm yes, they are glass and heat up.
