Depends. Born blind, I don't know. Seems like they wouldn't have a frame of reference to describe it if they did.

People who went blind later, sure.

It must be horrible when you wake up from a dream when you're blind, seriously

This is more or less true. I know a few blind people and this pretty much sums up what they say about this...

A lot of blind people can see (sense?) light, so I don't see why they wouldn't have visual dreams.

I heard something on this in my Psych class that they experience dreams with their other senses. Though, I don't know if it's true or not.

The real question is : What do blind people masturbate too?

I dunno, i'm not blind, but when I hear some "sound"s coming from my neighbours house it tingles me a bit.

Nobody "sees" dreams. We experience them.

You may not "see" them in the sense that you use your eyes, but aren't the optic portions of the brain supposed to be really active during REM? I thought I'd heard that before.

I mean, the brain can smell, see, hear, or feel anything. Not necessarily with actual sensation, either.

What I'm trying to say is: semantics, bitch

Well what I'm say is of course blind people can see dreams, because dreams don't involve actual sight.

But you make dreams from things you see. How can you dream of a lamp if you've never seen it?

I don't know if it was intentional, but that's a very philosophical thing you said lol

It would be constructed from other senses most likely. If you've never touched an object, can you not imagine how it might feel like?

This leads to another question. How do blind men imagine things? Do they picture things with colors as well? People's dreams are based on the things they experience in their lives. If you're born blind, your dreams will only be auditory dreams.

Well I searched for a good Reddit AMA (Ask Me Anything) for you of a blind guy.

So here's the link to the thread:http://www.reddit.com/r/IAmA/comments/gu46b/i_am_blind_ama/

Someone also asked your question:
[–]Countryb0i2m 197 points 2 years ago
do you have dreams if so what do you dream about?

[–]blindbutnowidontsee 293 points 2 years ago
Dreams are basically like a watching a movie with your eyes closed. All the sound but no picture. I rarely dream though, but when I do that's what it's like.
