So I need a case for my birthday present (to me, from me), my Pelham Blue Epiphone Firebird...

So, the two I've found that seem most appealing (and available) are the SKB moulded softcase thing, and the Epiphone Firebird hsc.

Which would be better in the long run? The last thing I want is my baby getting damaged...

Imagine the part of the ballsack where occasionally old poo sticks to the pubes and hardens, and you then have to pull out, but as an amp. That's an MG.

The hard case will be better. Soft case is for dust and short distance travelling mainly. Hard case for protection overall.

It's for an epiphone guitar so it's guaranteed to be a perfect (near perfect) fit. I have an epiphone explorer hard case for my epiphone explorer. Fits nicely. Definitely decent too.

i know its not the same shape, i had an epi SG case that housed one of my Gibson SG's for a while. IMO i wouldn't mind having more cases that said EPI on the side. may make it less likely to be stolen because its not a gibson.
