My vote is for Taxi.
So much talent on that show--Danny Devito, Judd Hirsch, Christopher Lloyd etc. and absolutely hilarious.

What is your pick?
And if you want, give your favorite episode.

Seinfeld.

The only sitcom I can stand the stage laughs in. Why sitcoms still add it today is beyond me. So ****ing annoying.
sometimes I see us in a cymbal splash or in the sound of a car crash

^tradition + a sense of laughing with others, I guess.

Pretty fond of Porridge. And Father Ted.

Peep Show is pretty good. It's like Curb only English instead of Jewish.

On the come up we were listening to Grateful Dead and the music started passing through my bowel and out my arsehole as this violet stream of light. I shat music. It was beautiful.

Soap

Only ran for 4 seasons, but it beat the hell out of anything before or since though IMO

Season 4 ended on a hell of a cliffhanger, but season 5 never happened

Out of that list, the only one I liked was Cheers.

Otherwise ones I liked from start to finish:
Green Wing
Father Ted
The Good Life
Frasier
Black Books.

There are much more that I've like the first few seasons but hated the rest.
O.K.

That is a terrible list. The shows on it might be watchable, but for gods sake just 3 to choose from. "Other" is always going to be the winner here.

I enjoyed Frasier, That 70's Show, Kenan & Kel, and The Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air alot.

Which begs the question, why isn't TFPOBA on the list ? Christ, I'm old.

The Nanny.

I love Fran Drescher's character and it's such a sweet story between her and Mr. Sheffield.

There are sitcoms that I love -

Blackadder
Fawlty Towers
'Allo 'Allo
Frasier
Red Dwarf

- but only one can be top.

Yes Minister.

Every moment was sheer perfection. And nearly all of it is still surprisingly topical and relevant today.

The Office

The Cosby Show anyone?
Please call me Rainer, was 16 and empty minded when I made my profile.

Sometimes I talk to myself too...but never on the internet.

Seinfeld.

I love Cheers, Frasier and The Cosby Show are also good, but just about every Seinfeld episode is a classic, and I think it's pretty extraordinary for a show to be so consistently good across each episode.
